This is how differ* handles what you tell us. It's written to be read, not skimmed past.
Who we are
differ* is a brand of AYBC Brands Private Limited. When this page says "we", that's who it means.

What we collect
Right now, before anything is on sale: your email address, when you join the list and ask for a founder code. That's all.
When you write to us: whatever you put in the email, and the address you sent it from.
Later, when you order: your name, phone number, delivery address, and what you ordered.
Payment details: we never see or store your card or UPI details. The payment provider handles them at checkout.
Like most websites, the site also records basic technical information when you visit (your browser, device and IP address) so it loads properly and stays safe from bots.
Why we collect it
- To send you your founder code.
- To tell you when Batch 001 opens.
- To deliver your order and help if something goes wrong with it.
- To answer you when you write to us.
We don't sell your data. We don't rent it out. We don't hand it to anyone to advertise to you.
Who else handles it
A small number of services do the work for us. They only get what they need for their job.
- Shopify runs the store and the checkout.
- Cloudflare runs the sign-up service that issues founder codes, and the check that stops bots from signing up.
- Klaviyo keeps the email list and sends list emails.
- ImprovMX forwards email sent to hello@differ.co.in into our inbox.
- Google hosts that inbox, and the private spreadsheet we use to look up founder codes.
- Brevo sends our replies from hello@differ.co.in.
- Courier partners will get your name, phone and address when there's an order to deliver.
Some of these services store data outside India. They're bound by their own terms to keep it secure and use it only for the job we give them.
How long we keep it
For as long as you're on the list, or as long as you have orders with us. Ask us to delete it and we will, except for what tax and accounting law makes us keep (order and invoice records).
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:
- See what we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Have it erased.
- Withdraw your consent. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. One click and you're off the list.
- Complain to us, and if you're not happy with our answer, to the Data Protection Board of India.
- Nominate someone to use these rights for you if you die or can't act for yourself.

Under 18
The site isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think someone under 18 has signed up, tell us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this page, the date at the top changes too. If it's a change that matters, we'll email the list.
